The Aquatech Amsterdam, the leading European trade show for process, drinking and waste water, was held from Nov. 1 to 4, 2011 again, after a 3 year break since 2008. PWG was present with their 15 companies. Herco Wassertechnik GmbH, our sister company, presented its product range and innovations within the common booth of the Pollet Water Group. At Aquatech Amsterdam Herco presented its wide product range for industrial applications, demonstrating its competence in RO, in ultrafiltration and in other solutions of water treatment, e.g. with ready-to-use, skid-mounted softeners and water recycling systems.

New product introductions of Herco at Aquatech included, among others,

- UO-D series RO systems with advanced digital controller

- UF PILOT 1 a piloting system for ultrafiltration purposes

- UO WSE series a compact RO for 100 to 500 l/h

- A system for recycling of process water in industrial applications.

One of our Herco desalination systems was installed in the factory of a Croatian plastic manufacturer. The system consists of 3 UO 30000 AS units and has a capacity of 90 m³/h. It is fed with hardness stabilized city water and the treated water is used in steam boilers. In order to improve the water quality even further and to ensure a higher flow rate, the system is equipped with non-standard membranes with a larger filtration surface and larger feed pumps. The customer opted for 3 lines in parallel to facilitate transport and maintenance: while one line is being serviced, the other 2 lines continue to produce desalinated water.
